First and foremost, Mrs. Maguire Jones and I would like to thank everyone who was able to come and help make this evening such a huge success! The children worked really hard over the last couple of months to put this project together and they were very proud to present it to you all last night.
Again, we would like to thank Mrs. Daly, Mrs. Umphlett, Mr. Roaf, Mrs. Bisaccio, and Mr. Johnson for their support with this project.
If you did not get a chance to come, or you would like a chance to look at them again, you can check them out here on the Digital Projects page.

Walking Field Trip…
During our computer block we have been working with area and perimeter, as well as creating a floor plan and recreating the floor plan in Minecraft. This project will be on display during the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math night here at later this month (I believe it is March 30).
The students have created a city with some “generic” buildings: a hospital, police station, etc. They have also created homes of their own design. Our next step is to measure the outside perimeters of some important places in Shaftsbury. We will go to the Post Office, the school, the fire house, the town office, and the “country store” next Thursday afternoon (date subject to change based on the weather) we will be walking, in small groups, to measure these buildings. We will then add those building to our city.
